Will Mr. Pooper Go to Heaven?

While serving a church in rural, northwest Florida, the local veterinarian came to me with a problem.

"People whose animals I can't save are, of course, grief stricken. But they keep asking me if their dog or cat or horse or whatever is going to go to heaven. I haven't got a clue what to say to those people. Can you help me?"

I was on it. The family across the street had recently lost their sweet black lab puppy--the aptly named Mr. Pooper. So I enlisted the help of their eight-year-old daughter to provide the artwork and produced a short brochure that the vet could give out to help her religious clients.
